A lovely fusion of modern and traditional elements to swoon over

This u-shaped kitchen is eye catching for many different reasons. The design incorporates a delicate light shaker door paired with a striking dark island to play with your eye. While you continue to scan the room, following the soft veining of the marble backsplash, you are graced with some floating wood shelves to add some texture to the space. Everything is completed with the grounding black matte hardware to complete the look.

Before & After

This younger couple had purchased this home with intent to modernize it to suite their style. The existing kitchen had a decent layout but lacked the look they wanted. The kitchen was quite busy in the design with staggered height cabinets, ornate crown moulding and an outdated dark wood stain on the island. It lacked the modern farmhouse charm they loved.
By removing a lot of the cluttered upper cabinetry and replacing it with open shelves framing the sink window, the space feels more open and brighter. A slight change in paint colours give this once outdated kitchen a fresh new look targeting the modern farmhouse vibe they were looking to achieve. Adding the seamless marble slab backsplash across the kitchen invites your eye to follow the delicate veining all around the room, enjoying every inch. Lastly, with some other subtle details including the matte black hardware, the apron front farmhouse sink, and the clean moulding, this kitchen has become no short of the kitchen of their dreams.

We love our Oasis Kitchen! Our kitchen designer let us take the lead on the design with their online kitchen planner tool, but was there for us anytime we had any quick questions. I had never designed a kitchen before or really even had any idea what I was doing, but their kitchen planner tool was surprisingly easy to use. I believe they also source and manufacture their cabinets locally as opposed to overseas, which I appreciate. Aside from the product itself, their high level of customer service is what really set them apart for us in the final decision making process.
