Kitchen cabinet construction is often overlooked in the design process. At Oasis Kitchens, we’re all about providing quality materials you can trust. That's why we have taken the uncertainty out of the equation by exclusively offering premium birch plywood boxes. Birch plywood is the industry-leading choice for high-end custom cabinetry. Our ¾” thick cases are durable and bound to provide longevity to your kitchen.

Why should I have plywood cases?

Kitchen cabinets are a major investment, so it is important to choose materials that will withstand over time. Ask yourself: do I really want to have to do another kitchen renovation in five years? You might have to if you pick the wrong cabinet material. Our designers took the choice out of your hands because we feel that strongly about plywood as a superior material choice.

Plywood is incredibly versatile and is used in the construction of cabinet boxes due to its strength and durability, but most importantly, it is designed to last.

What is plywood?

Plywood consists of multiple thin layers of wood veneer that are stacked and glued together with alternating orientation to provide strength in its length and width.

How does it compare?

Other (cheaper) kitchen cabinet boxes are usually made from MDF (medium density fiberboard) or particleboard. In comparison, plywood is known to offer greater stability and higher water resistance. Unlike MDF, plywood is lighter in weight but stronger in strength – making it an ideal material choice for wall hanging applications. With its superior construction, plywood will not sag or split under pressure and is the optimal material for holding screws and other mechanical fasteners. Particleboard, on the other hand, can and will get stripped over time.
